What is the difference between UX design and UI design?
UX (user experience) design defines how a digital product works: the information architecture, the navigation flows and the logic that lets users achieve their goal without friction. UI (user interface) design defines how it looks: typography, colors, icons, components and responsive design. Good UX without UI is unappealing, and good UI without UX looks nice but is hard to use. That is why we work on both in an integrated way.
What is user research and why is it important before designing?
User research studies in depth the behaviour, needs and pain points of the people who will use your product, through interviews, usability testing, surveys and data analysis. Designing without research means designing on assumptions. With user research we make evidence-based decisions, reduce the risk of building features nobody uses and increase product adoption and conversion.
What is a design system and what are its advantages?
A design system is a centralised library of components, styles and usage rules (buttons, forms, typography, colors) that ensures visual consistency across all your digital products.
